Call For Papers
The 14th European Conference on Software Architecture (ECSA 2020) Tool Demos Track provides an opportunity for both practitioners and researchers to present and discuss the most recent advances, ideas, experiences, and challenges in the field of Software Architecture by means of live tool demo presentations.
Tool demos are intended to address or demonstrate any aspect of tool support for Software Architecture and can belong to two distinct categories:
In-practice tools from vendors, industry or open source projects. These tool demonstrations should focus on practical applications within the different activities of software architecting and should particularly show how they advance the current state of the practice.
Research tools and demos from academic or industrial research environments. These tool demonstrations should include scientific contributions and show how scientific approaches have been (or are being) transferred into a working tool.
The tool demonstrations should not be used as a means for commercial advertisement.
Participants of the conference will support the selection of the best tool demo paper, which will be awarded during the main conference.
Submissions of tool demo papers must have up to twelve pages in Springer CCIS style, describing the work, how it relates to other industrial or research efforts, including references, what the expected benefits are, and the web-page for the tool (if one exists).
Tool demo submissions should provide a link to a video (with audio commentary) of maximum five minutes length, with high resolution (details of the tool’s functionality should be clearly visible). The video must be uploaded on a server (e.g., YouTube, drive, dropbox) and the link included in the submission for its evaluation.
Contributions should be submitted using the online submission system: EasyChair ECSA 2020.
The selection criteria of tool demos will consider their originality, relevance for the ECSA audience, technical soundness, and presentation quality. Each submission will be evaluated by at least two members of the PC.
